Show Notes

What happens when Christmas is suddenly at risk… and only cutting-edge space technology can save it?

Join us for a festive, slightly chaotic, and wonderfully geeky crisis meeting at the North Pole, where Santa’s top team of experts grapple with an unexpected threat: new SAR satellites can now track Santa… even through clouds. Not ideal when your entire business model depends on stealth. In an emergency gathering high above Christmas Town Square, we meet:

Agathe Bouis - the overworked, under-caffeinated Chief Elf

Beth Probert - keeper of the Naughty & Nice List (and emerging blockchain advocate)

Josh Gribben - President of Christmas Cheer and enthusiastic idea-machine

Andrew Ferguson - Head of Logistics, lover of precision timing and mild panic

Cameron Fergus-Allen - News reporter broadcasting updates as drama unfolds

Astrid Werkmeister - the voice and author of the advert

Together, they wrestle with questions no festive team expected:

How do you stop hostile satellites from tracking Santa?

Can elves really adopt distributed ledger technology without breaking the Wi-Fi?

What happens when you decentralise the Naughty & Nice List?

And why are we suddenly launching satellites from Santa’s electromagnetic cannon?

Things escalate quickly - as they do when Christmas cheer is on the line - but a breakthrough arrives in the form of a familiar name: Ken from the European Space Agency, who might be bribed with a spot on the Nice List to help secure emergency funding.

What follows is a full-blown festive techno-miracle: ELF-NET - a global, ESA-supported satellite network designed to synchronise elves, secure children’s data, update the Naughty & Nice List in real time, and ensure Santa completes his deliveries safely.
